The Good News of Christ as the Gospel

The gospel proclaimed by Scripture is that by His death on the cross, Jesus Christ has forgiven and cleansed all those who come to Him by faith. He has fulfilled the righteous requirements of God's law, and accomplished our redemption. Also, through His resurrection, Jesus Christ became the life-giving Spirit and can now impart the eternal, divine life of God into everyone who receives Him. When a person receives Christ, He has also received God's life, making him a son of God in life and nature.
