What Must I Do to be Saved?

The Phillipian jailor asked the apostles: What must I do to be saved? (Acts 16:30)

This is an all-important question that each person should desperately ask. Their answer was so simple. It is easy to be saved. Christ has done all the hard work on His cross. Through His suffering, He has accomplished redemption for the whole world, including YOU.

What must you do now?

The apostles answered: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved." (Acts 16:31).

To believe in Christ is also to receive Him. The apostle John also tells us how easy it is to become a child of God:
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become the children of God, to those who believe into His name." (John 1:12)

It is so easy. Simply believe and receive. Eternal life is God's free gift for you! You simply must receive it.

How?

The Bible tells us the simple way to be saved:
"That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Simply pray with a sincere heart:
Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for me on the cross. By faith I say that I believe in You and what You have done for me.
Lord Jesus, I receive You right now into my spirit and into my heart. Oh Lord Jesus, come in! Jesus is Lord! Jesus is my Savior! Amen"

 

"...the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
